Linda Veneri Bucchi

Linda Veneri Bucchi, age 88, of Montcalm, WV went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Born on September 19, 1926, in McComas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Scolastica Massaroni Veneri. She was a longtime member of the Montcalm United Methodist Church, the Montcalm United Methodist Women, the Parish Committee, the XYZ Club as well as helping at the Jesus Care Center. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bucchi; a grandson, John Christopher Romans; sisters, Mary Goegan, Clara Del Puppo, Betty Rajkovich, Bianca and Adelgesta Veneri; brothers, Toney, Daniel, Frosty, Albert, Emelio, Petrina and Paul Veneri. Linda was the last surviving member of her family. Left to cherish her memory: Children: Deborah Bucchi of Bluefield, VA Johnny Bucchi and wife Anita of Ruckersville, VA Patsy Gilpin and husband Richard of Princeton, WV Tamie Gunnoe and husband James of Bluefield, WV Grandchildren: Kristy Dale, Kelly Romans, Steven Bucchi, Amy Bucchi, Michael Bucchi, Jena Bucchi, Brandi Gilpin, Megan Hill, Katelyn Gilpin, Jeremy Burgess, Erick Burgess and Aaron Burgess. Great-Grandchildren: Lindsay, Nicholas, Katie, Gia, Sarah, Kristin, Noah, Sophia, Christian, Ian,Emma, Ryver, Alex, Paeton, Natalie, Aston, Jonathan, Collin and Easton. Linda often showed her kindness by making homemade bread to share with her family, friends, and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Johnny Bucchi and Rev. Melody Rickman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Burgess, Erick Burgess, Aaron Burgess, Steven Bucchi, Michael Bucchi and Brian Dale. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Nicholas, Jonathan, Noah, Christian, Ian, Ryver, Alex, Ashton, Collin and Easton. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
