AnnaLee Watson Maxwell, 75, of Crumpler WV, died suddenly on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield WV. Born in Castlewood, VA she was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. O.W. Watson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert R. Maxwell of Crumpler WV; daughter Tami Kay Shaheen of McDonough NY; grandson Norman R. Shaheen of McDonough, NY; great-grandson Jack N. Shaheen of McDonough, NY; son Robert R. Maxwell Jr. of Crumpler WV; grand-daughter Kali Davis of Madison TN; brother William E. Watson and wife Sandy of Goldsboro NC; 2 special nieces Julie Deconto of Durham NC and Kelly Joyner of Campbell, CA; brother Robert R. Watson and wife Marilyn of Broken Arrow, OK and 3 special nieces Stacie Clark of Tahlequah, OK; Amy Ennis of Broken Arrow, OK and Courtney Grover of Durant OK, along with many other brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews. Some of AnnaLee's fondest childhood memories were visiting her beloved maternal grandparents and cousins in Castlewood, VA. She attended Concord college and roomed with her special friend Myra Hedrick. She worked as a substitute teacher while living in Huntsville, Ala and in Ladies Apparel and Food Demo at Sam's Club while living in upstate NY. She was involved in bridge and square dancing clubs, was an avid reader and loved her flower garden, cooking, baking, housekeeping and country music. Friday nights were special spent with the "Dinner Gang" with husband Bob and friends Myra, Fran, Nancy, Don, Patty and Shirley. She recently attended and thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing with classmates and friends at her 2014 "Fabulous Fifties" high school re-union. She was a loving wife to husband Bob and devoted mother to daughter Tami and son Bobby Ray and dearly loved her grandchildren Kali and Normie and great-grandson Jack. She will be forever loved and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jeffrey Kanode officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Andy Hall, Jason Hall, Ross Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Adam Bailey, and Norman Shaheen officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crumpler United Methodist Church.
