Gary Wayne Dunford

Gary Wayne Dunford, 56, of Sandlick Road, Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Princeton Community Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1958 to the late Clarence and Zora Lusk Dunford of Montcalm. Gary was a devoted employee of Bluefield Retread but most importantly was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. He was always willing to go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was a member of Calvary Tabernacle. Gary leaves behind his: Wife of 35 years: Teresa Johnston Dunford of the home 3 children: Brandon Dunford and wife Amy of Bluefield Derek Dunford of Bluefield Emalee Dunford of Bluefield 2 beloved grandchildren: Noah and Mackenzie Dunford Mother and father in law: George and Emma Johnston of Sandlick Brother: Kenneth Dunford and wife Debbie of Springville, VA Sisters: Lorraine Johnson and husband Thomas of Bluefield Tina Davis and husband Mike of Logan County Several nieces, nephews, and brother and sister in laws Special friend who Gary considered his brother, Ernie Combs An abundance of close family and friends who will love and miss him Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at eh Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial gardens in Princeton where Mike Compton, Brian Walker, Kevin Payne, Ernie Combs, Cody Walker and Dustin Dunford will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
