Carol Yvonne Carter

Carol Yvonne Carter, age 62, of Hurricane Ridge Road, Bluefield, WV made her journey home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Born on November 22, 1951, she was the daughter of Otis Crawford and Daisey Osborne. She was born in Welch, WV. Carol attended Princeton Free Methodist Church for 24 years. She was active in Women’s Ministries and Children’s Ministries. After thirty years of employment Carol retired from DHHR. She had worked in McDowell and Mercer County. She then worked at the Paul Miller Shelter in Northfork, WV. Carol was also a board member of SAFE/SHED for several years. Survivors include: Husband of 42 years: Carl Carter of the home Son: Carl Carter, II and wife Karla of Princeton, WV Grandchildren: Tyler Romeo, Jordan Brooke Carter, and Evan Carter Great-Grandson: Beau Romeo Sisters: Patsy Ciampanella of Big Sandy, WV Linda Blaylock of Bluefield, WV Bonnie McCarty of Princeton, WV Robin Crawford of Welch, WV Brothers: William Crawford of Bluefield, WV Michael Crawford of Princeton, WV Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Ministers Carl Sellards and Eddie Pettrey officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
