Zonah Ilene Dooley

Zonah “Ilene” Dooley, 87, of Glenwood, went to be with her LORD on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from GlenWood Park Nursing Home. Born on September 30, 1927 in Oakvale, Ilene was a daughter of the late Cephus Boyd Harry and Willie Wimmer Harry. She was the wife of 60 years to the late Rev. Charlie G. Dooley, Jr. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church which her husband founded. She worked as a hairdresser in the area for 40 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Harry; and her daughter, Joyce Parker. She is survived by: 2 children: Sharon Preston of the home Richard Dooley and wife Kathryn of Princeton 5 grandchildren: Lynsey Artrip, Jonathan Frazier, Rodney Preston, Roy Preston, II Kathy Powell 2 great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Artrip and Alixandria Preston Brother: Marvin Harry and wife Rose of Princeton Sister: Linda Clark and husband Johnny of Atlanta, GA Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
