Shelby Jean Murray, 77, of Autry Place, Princeton, went to be with her Lord and loved ones on September 1, 2014. Born on April 1, 1937 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Hall McNeal and Lellier French McNeal. She was of the Baptist faith and had been a resident of Bluefield for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, 3 sisters, and a son, Thomas Lindsey Smith; and a son in law, John Murray, Sr. Survivors include: Son: David Smith and wife Mary of Bluefield Daughters: Donna Murray of Bluefield, VA Debbie Clark and husband James of Ada Melissa Smith of Oak Hill Christi and Larry Law of the home 11 grandchildren: James Clark, Jr., Anna Dunn, Shannon Clark, John Murray, Jr., Amanda Martin, David Martin, Lindsey Hale, Kelsey Smith, Samantha Martin, Joshua Law, Sarah Law, 13 great-grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. George Stamper officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where James Clark, Jr., John Murray, Jr., David Martin, Samuel Dunn, Jonathan Taylor, Billy Estep and Justin Kinsler will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
