Willis Roger Dye, Sr., age 78, of Grapefield Road, Bastian, VA, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 28, 1936 in Honaker, VA, he was a son of the late Otis and Edith Mudder Dye. He had been a resident of Bastian for 57 years and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a retired machinist for CONSOL, was a member of UMWA, and had formerly worked as a truck driver. He most recently had worked for Bluefield transit as a bus driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, remodeling homes, and traveling. He lived his life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Dye; and his brothers and sisters.

Edith May Looney and Paul of Bastian, VA
14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Paul Looney and Pastor Bruce Hagee officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home.
