Fred Beggs

Fred Lawrence Beggs, 83, of Hicks Hollow Road (Montcalm), Rock, WV, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home. Born on April 14, 1931 in Raleigh County, he was a son of the late James and Eureka Hall Beggs. He had been a lifelong resident of Montcalm and was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Louise Taylor Beggs, and a son, Dean Lawrence Beggs. Survivors include: Sons: Ronald L. Beggs of Rock, WV Frederick Keith Beggs of Rock, WV Daughters: LaVerne Gillespie and Ernie of Princeton, WV Deborah Jenkins of Mt. Airy, NC Stepson: Jerry W. Griffith and Gail of Bluefield, VA 2 stepdaughters: Gwendolyn Blue of Ft. Worth, TX Sandra Kaye Duffy and Carl of Surfside Beach, SC 2 sisters: Eva Perkins of Princeton, WV Newassa Minnix of Princeton, WV 37 grandchildren and several great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Eddie Via officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
