Sadie Marie Proffitt

Sadie Marie Proffitt, 89, of Pleasant Hill Estates, Princeton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at her home. Born on July 18, 1925 in Richlands, VA, she was a daughter of the late James William and Sally Jane West Nipper. She had been a resident of Princeton for 16 years and was a member of the Princeton Church of God. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey C. Proffitt. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Faye Chandler, & JC of Princeton Wanda Proffitt of Princeton Grandchildren: Elizabeth King and husband Larry of Princeton Jason Chandler and Jessica of Beckley Step grandchildren: Jeffrey Chandler and wife Heather of Richlands, VA David Chandler of FL Great grandchildren: Kristin Chandler and Zachary of IN Alyssa Spivey of Bluefield Brandon Jones of Princeton Ryan Chandler of Richlands, VA Great-great grandchildren: Eric Little of IN Austin Spivey of Bluefield Mawmaw spent the last several months of her life very comfortable and with her special friend and caregiver, Mitzi Farley. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. David Hercey officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
