George Thomas Haynes 89 of Stewart St. Welch, WV passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. George was born on March 21, 1925 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Loomis Haynes, Sr. and Gladys Rees Haynes. He had been a resident of Welch for all his life and was a member of the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Welch, West Virginia. He was a retired watch maker and repair man. Survivors Include: His wife: Louise Bowlin Haynes of the home One son: Jimmy Haynes and wife Tina of Princeton, West Virginia One Daughter: Belinda Burks and husband David of Princeton, West Virginia One Brother: Mike Haynes and wife Mary of Concord, North Carolina Two Sisters: Susan Harrison and husband Dave of Mooresville, North Carolina Elizabeth Lovett of Winston-Salem, North Carolina Grandchildren: Heather Burks and fiancée Jason Hudson Shannon Collette Jennifer Bristoll Devin and Ben Brady Great grandchildren: Brittany Burks Justin Dove Gwen Bare Brianna Walls Piper Brady Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Ed Pettus, Susan Harrison and Rev. Chuck Hammond officiating burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
