Shelby Jean Blankenship- Lancaster, S.C. PICTURE Our angel and precious mother Shelby Blankenship, age 72, of Lancaster, S.C. and formally of Bluewell, W.V., went to be with Jesus on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C. Born on January 31, 1942 in Ashland she was the daughter of the late James Oliver and Callie Craft. She had been a resident of Lancaster for 9 years and was a member of the Church of the New Beginning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Blankenship and brother, Jimmy Craft. Survivors include: One son: Michael Ray Blankenship and wife Sherri of Bluewell, W.V., two daughters: Tamara Jean Roland and husband Tommy of Bluefield W.V., and Shelley Marie Hager and husband Larry of Lancaster, S.C., and two grand-daughters: Melissa Nunn and husband Brian of Bluewell, W.V. and Kallie Hager of Lancaster, S.C., One great grandchild: Brayden Nunn of Bluewell, W.V., and three sisters: Nancy McCoy, Connie Roland and husband Joe, and Kathy Lowe and husband Earl all of Chilhowie, Va. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.V. with pastors Chris Fisher and David Kirby officiating, burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, W.V. with Mike Blankenship, Tommy Roland, Brian Nunn, Kevin Smith, Joey Roland, and Shane Smith will serve as pallbearers.
