Charles Roger Stewart

Charles “Chuck” Roger Stewart of 44 L.J. Street, Princeton, WV formerly of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with our LORD on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born on March 26, 1970, in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Bert Marshall Stewart and Aileen Louise Lowe Stewart. He served at the Princeton First Assembly of God in Princeton, WV. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School in 1990. He resided most of his life in West Virginia with a short time spent in Durham and Burlington, NC. He had worked at Golden Corral and Chick File’ in North Carolina. He worked at Camp Joy (Salvation Army), Starbucks, McDonalds, and the Davis Stuart Group Home. He volunteered at the Soup Kitchen on Thursdays in Princeton. He was a servant of the LORD because he loved it. After receiving training at the First Assembly of God, he became a Children’s Pastor where every Sunday and Wednesday he also served as a van minister. He also served as a Sunday School Teacher, worked on Youth Dramas, and sang in the choir all for the LORD. He was also a proud foster parent. In addition to his parents, he was precede in death by his sisters, Alberta Louise Lowe Stewart Tucker and Carolyn Lowe; brothers, Bert Marshall Stewart Jr. and Robert Mckinley Stewart; brothers-in-law, Bruce Lee Tucker and Christopher Price; Paternal Grandparents, Charles and Sadise Lankford Stewart; and Maternal Grandparents, James and Mae Belle Jennings Lowe. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Princeton First Assembly of God on Route 20 with Senior Pastor Dan Moore and Youth Minister Joseph (Max) Brockmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven and Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton where his friends and family will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00 AM prior to the service with the family meeting at 9:00.
