John Sandy Perfin, 70, of Gary, West Virginia; passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. John was born on March 31, 1944 in Elbert, West Virginia to the late Frank S. Perfin and Mary Semonco Perfin. John was a graduate of Gary High School and Marshall University. He was a retired social worker.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank S. Perfin and Donald L. Perfin; as well as five uncles (Lee Switch, Paul Switch, John Switch, Steve Switch, and Mike Switch) and four aunts (Stella Switch Lambert, Anne Perfin, Ethel Switch Dillion, Julia Switch Harring).
Survivors include:
One brother: Harry "Buddy" Perfin and wife, Betty Perfin
One sister-in-law: Patricia “Carol” Perfin-Ball
One uncle: Harry Switch and wife, Anna “Babe” Switch
One nephew: Frank "Rick" Perfin
Nieces: Daria Neal, Regina Perfin, Elizabeth "Liz" Tuell, Jessica Perfin
Two grandnieces and one grandnephew: Sara Perfin, Kayleigh and Kaden Tuell
The family will receive friends at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M Saturday, July 5, 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Satuday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield with Father Michael Woods officiating.
