Darrell "Butch" Taylor

Darrell Ray “Butch” Taylor, 67, of Norway, Maine, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Maine. Born on May 3, 1947 in Bluefield, he was a son of William M. “Bill” Taylor of Bluefield and the late Sally Honaker Taylor. He had been a resident of Maine for several years. He was retired from the US Army with 20 years and had also served in Vietnam. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother Giles “GJ” Taylor and a sister, Paulette Taylor. Survivors in addition to his father include: Wife: Dorothy "Dot" Taylor of Norway, ME Daughter: Melissa Taylor of Bluefield, VA Son: Michael Taylor and Serena of Bluefield, WV Grandchildren: Hannah Taylor and Emily Adams 2 sisters: Angel Taylor of Bluefield Rebecca Jackson and Jeff of Bluefield Brother: William “Marty” Taylor and Debbie of San Antonio, TX Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 6:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Don Compton officiating.
