Polina Marie Hash

Bluefield, WV - On June 26 2014 Jesus opened his arms and welcomed home another one of his precious children. Polina Marie Spaulding Hash age 69 of Nick St. (Bluewell), Bluefield, WV was born on March 14, 1945 in Crystal, West Virginia. She was the oldest daughter of the late John Spaulding and Olive Spaulding Brown. She had moved away from the area to work but she and her husband Cecil returned for their retirement. Polina was a loving person devoted to her family and God. She was always there when her family needed her. A rock for many to lean on. She fought a good fight but she was tired. And being a Christian, she was ready to go home to be with many loved ones. Polina attended the Deliverance Temple Church where she had many friends. She will be missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Polina was also preceded in death by two brothers Franklin and William Spaulding, one niece Marcella Spaulding and one nephew Jackie Spaulding II (Lil Jackie),step father David Brown, step sisters Virginia Proffitt and Linda Bradbury and step brothers, Tom Brown and Glenn Chaffins. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 48 years Cecil Hash. One daughter, Candace Hash of Montcalm, WV and two stepsons George (Lee) Craig and wife Lisa of Florida and Eugene (Gene) Craig of Tenn. She was grandmother and step grandmother to six grandchildren and three great grandchildren she adored, Khia, Ragan and Landon and three step great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, left to cherish her memory are: Sisters: Oma Thompson and husband Dallas and Glenna Anders and husband Daniel, all of North Carolina. Brothers: Roy Spaulding of Rock, WV, Thomas (Tommy) Spaulding of Princeton, WV, Jackie Spaulding and wife Sandra of Bluefield, WV, Charles (Keit) Spaulding and wife Diane, Calvin (C.J.) Spaulding and wife Tessa all of North Carolina Step brothers: Melvin (Butch) Brown, Johnny Brown and wife Pat all of N.C and Terry(Red)Brown and wife Jewel of South Carolina. Many nieces and nephews will miss their Aunt Polina. See you soon, Polina. Save us a place... Funeral services will be at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell) Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Kirby conducting the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where the family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV.
