Helen Marie Nunley

Helen Marie Nunley 71 of Windmill Hill Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the residence of her sister in Waynesboro, Virginia. Helen was born April 15, 1943 in Horsepen, West Virginia to the late Frank and Mary Katherine Lawson Farmer. She had been a resident of Bluewell, West Virginia for the past 49 years and was a member of the Brewsterdale Church of Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Grandmothers Myrtle Lawson, Virginia Farmer and Great Grandmother Sarah Atwood. Survivors Include: Her husband of 32 years: Russell H. Nunley of the home Three Sons: Russell James Nunley and wife Cammie of Falls Mills, Virginia Ronald Lee Nunley and wife Suzette of Sandlick, West Virginia Brian Nunley and wife Shelly of Bluewell, West Virginia One Daughter: Tammy Doss of Bluewell, West Virginia Three Sisters: Billie Chappell of Waynesboro, Virginia Linda Beverly and husband Dick of Charlottesville, Virginia Terry Lee Hughes of Nellysford, Virginia Two Grandsons: Robbie Doss and wife Shelia Aaron Doss Three Granddaughters: Donna Coleman and husband Richard Holly Mullins and husband Barry Jessica Cline Seven Great Grandchildren The family will be receiving friends and family on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Ronny and Katheryn Marrs officiating the service. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ in Brewsterdale, WV with Pastors Ronny and Katheryn Marrs officiating the service. Burial will follow the service Friday at the Brewsterdale Cemetery in Brewsterdale, WV where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to local hospice.
