Wanda Lane

June 22, 1957 — June 12, 2014

Wanda Trump Lane, 56, of 197 Explorer Street (Coppola MHP), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by the love and support of her family. She was the very cornerstone and foundation of our family. She always rooted for the underdog and those less fortunate. She was the beloved mother, nannie, sister, friend and confidant not only to her family and friends but especially her children she had of Presbyterian Children’s Home. She was a collector of the important things—friends and stories as made evident by the multitude of people who will miss her and who will have held her dear to their hearts. Among her greatest of achievements was her title of “Nannie” to her grandsons, Brad and Eli. She was a person of great and personal faith. She believed God would not put a burden upon a person they could not handle. It was the burdens we put upon ourselves that created our conflicts. Her influence on her friends and family during her time here has cast a wide net and will have a lasting ripple effect for lifetimes to come. She was born on June 22, 1957 in McDowell County to the late Martha and Lundy Cozart Trump. She was a licensed professional counselor in both Virginia and West Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from Bluefield State College and a Master’s of Education degree from Marshall University. She was an adjunct professor for Lindsey Wilson College School of Professional Counseling. She held this role with the greatest of regard because she wished to instill the ethics and humanistic compassion for her fellow and future colleagues. She was employed for 14 years at Presbyterian Children Home of the Highlands, as their children’s therapist. In that role she was not only a therapist but a best friend, gatekeeper of secrets, an encourager, and a woman who had enough love for all who would allow her to come in. She is survived by Her daughter: LaDeana Morgan and husband Ernie of Bluefield 2 grandsons: Brad and Eli Brothers: Carl Trump and wife Violet Kenny Trump and wife Carolynn Curt Trump Larry Trump and wife Lisa Sister: Loretta Zuchick and husband Mike Special friends: Kay Sizemore, Pam Pilkins and Kathy McGhee Many nieces and nephews Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev.
