Mallen "Zeke" Dee Brock

Mallen Dee “Zeke” Brock, 74, of Walnut Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on July 31, 1939 in Pioneer, LA, he was a son of the late William D. and Alice Inez Ragus Brock. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 12 years and was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of the US army and spent 9 years serving and earned the rank of S/Sgt. He worked for Butterfield Golf Cart Inc. as a mechanic for over 20 years and was a wood craftsman. After he retired, he handcrafted many pretty items for family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Berwick and brothers in law, Thomas (Budge) Shrewsbury and James Karl Shrewsbury. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
