Jerry Van Goforth 70 of Brushfork, WV passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV.
Jerry was born on October 14, 1943 in Bluefield, WV and was the son of the late Emory and June Lambert Goforth of Bluefield, WV. Jerry worked all his life as a welder and served in the Brushfork National Guard. Jerry was a former employee of Copinger’s Machine shop, Baker Industrial and Eimco Coal Machinery. He worked up until the time of his death at Bluefield Gear and Machine Company.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years,

Graveside rites will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Tony Reed officiating the services. The family will be serving as pallbearers for Jerry.
Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at Woodlawn Memorial Park by 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Jerry’s names to Paw’s Rescues 186 Nature Lane, North Tazewell, VA. 24630.
