Smith Thomas Carr

Smith Thomas Carr, age 37, of Monroe, NC, formerly of Rocky Gap, VA, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 following a tree accident on his job.   Born on December 13, 1976 in Haines City, FL, he was a son of Donna Irene Scott Lusk of Rocky Gap, VA and the late Floyd Carr. He had lived in Monroe, NC for the past 7 years and worked as a truck driver, landscaper, and construction worker. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katrina Renee’ Lusk.   Survivors in addition to his mother include:   Wife: Heather Robinson Carr of Charlotte, NC   Son: Morgan Carr of Bluefield, WV        Gavin Carr of Charlotte, NC   Daughter: Madison Carr of Bluefield, WV   Brothers: Billy Wayne Ammons of Bishop, VA                  Christopher Daniel Ammons of Rocky Gap, VA                  Willie Emmitt Ammons of Rocky Gap, VA                  Ricky Dewight Quesenberry of Rocky Gap, VA   Sisters: Aliesha Lynn Lusk of Rocky Gap, VA              Cassie Jenette Lusk of Arkansas              Sarah Elizabeth of Charlotte, NC              Chelsea Nichole England of Bluefield, WV   18 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow with pallbearers being Kevin Pennington, Freddy Poe, Ricky Quesenberry, Tyler England, Ryan Williams, and Adam Boyles. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon til 2:00 PM prior to the service.
