Smith Thomas Carr, age 37, of Monroe, NC, formerly of Rocky Gap, VA, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 following a tree accident on his job.
Born on December 13, 1976 in Haines City, FL, he was a son of Donna Irene Scott Lusk of Rocky Gap, VA and the late Floyd Carr. He had lived in Monroe, NC for the past 7 years and worked as a truck driver, landscaper, and construction worker. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Katrina Renee’ Lusk.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Larry Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow with pallbearers being Kevin Pennington, Freddy Poe, Ricky Quesenberry, Tyler England, Ryan Williams, and Adam Boyles. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon til 2:00 PM prior to the service.
