Katherine Louise Hughes

Katherine Louise Hughes 71 of Winterhaven Ave. Princeton, WV formerly of Pageton, WV passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Princeton Health Care in Princeton, WV. Katherine was born on July 30, 1942 in Welch, WV to the late Clark C. Hughes and Mae Painter Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one Aunt Louise Scott and a sister in law Barbara Hughes. Katherine had been a resident of Princeton for the past 13 years and was a member of the Pageton United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Two Brothers:                 James Hughes of Princeton, WV                 Edward Hughes and wife Patricia of Pageton, WV One Niece:                 Jamie Horton and husband Harold Two Nephews:                 James Hughes Jr. and wife Erin                 Jason Hughes and wife Carrie   Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV with Rev. Eddie Pettrey officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Animal Shelter 961 Shelter Rd Princeton, WV 24740 and/or the McDowell County Humane Society Box 714 Welch, WV 24801.
