Kevin Earl Brooks

Kevin Earl Brooks, 25, of Jenkinjones, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.   Born on December 28, 1988 in Bluefield, he was a son of Kevin and Beth Sandifer Brooks. He had been a resident of Jenkinjones for 7 years and was employed by Directv. Kevin loved life and enjoyed horseback riding, NASCAR, fishing, and hanging out outdoors with friends and family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Kevin worked hard, played hard and enjoyed life as it come.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Harry Brooks and Earl and Edith Sandifer.   Survivors include:   Parents:               Kevin and Beth Sandifer Brooks of Jenkinjones, WV   Daughter:            L’Rae Rain Brooks of Mooresville, NC   Sister:   Chastity Akers of Princeton   Special Girlfriend:            Courtney Sigmon of Sandlick   Paternal grandmother:  Donna J. Mill, SC                 Kenton Sandifer and wife Kathy of Bluefield, VA                 Randy Woolridge and wife Shiela of Pageton, WV   Special Friends:Steve Howington, Austin Baldwin and Chris Crouse   Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Tim Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where Kenton Sandifer, Steven Howington, Scott Brooks, Robbie Cook, CJ Benfield and Cameron Benfield will serve as pallbearers.
