Lorraine Lee Turner, age 84, of Wintercreek Drive, Bluefield, VA, formerly of Eckman, WV died on Sunday March 16, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on October 11, 1929 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Dodge and Eva Coleman Copeland. She was a graduate of the McDowell County Vocational School having been in the first LPN class to graduate. She had retired as an LPN having worked the Emergency Room at Stevens Clinic in Welch, WV. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Woodrow Turner; a son, Dalton Woodrow Turner, Jr.; and sisters, Margie Owens and Betty Hudson.

Daughter: Mitzi Charlene Turner of Idle Acres in Brushfork, WV
Grandson: Jason Douglas Belcher of Fredericksburg, VA
Several nieces and nephews
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Susan Rector officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park in Rich Creek, VA. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Lilly, Jason Belcher, Brian Hunt, Timothy Lilly, Keith Lilly, and Ronnie Hodge. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
