Phyllis Mae Miller, age 76, of Skating Rink Hollow, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Abingdon, VA. Born on May 4, 1937 in Crystal, she was a daughter of the late Hobert and Ivory Blankenship Riggs. She attended the member of the Montcalm Church of God and lived in Coaldale most of her life.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Miller, Jr.; a daughter, Pamela Knight; a sister, Ruth Duvall; brothers, Johnny and Ronald Riggs; and a son in law, Dale Goodson.  Survivors include:  2 sons:  Timothy Miller and wife Janet of Bluefield                 Jeffery Miller of Elkhart, IN  2 daughters:       Rebecca Goodson of Middleburg, IN                                 Sherry Miller of Meadowview, VA  11 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren  Brothers:             Benny Riggs and Karen of Bluefield                                 James Riggs and Ersline of Bears, DE                                 Samuel Riggs and Elmo of New Castel, DE                                 Vincent Riggs and Betty of Michigan                                 Roger Riggs of VA                                 Daniel Riggs and Connie of IL  Sisters:                 Zola Gail Johnson and Nathaniel of Michigan                                 Wanda Muncy and Lee of Michigan                      Sister in law:       Patty Riggs of Bluefiel Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Omar Burns and Rev. David Kirby officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home.
