Martha Kadana Blankenship

Martha Kadana Blankenship 75 of Bland St Bluefield, WV formerly of Nemours, WV passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at The Maples Nursing and Rehab in Bluefield, WV. Martha was born on January 11, 1938 in Nemours, WV to the late Bob Lee Wright and Frances Virginia Smith Wright. She had been a resident of Bluefield for the past 20 years and had been a resident of Nemours for 55 years before moving to Bluefield. She was of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Eugene Blankenship, one son Timothy Lee Wright; four brothers George Lee Wright, Jackie Wright, Morris Crockett Wright Sr. and Billy Gene Wright; two sisters Lucille Wright and Lena Mae Wright. Survivors Include: One Sister: Patricia Mitchem and husband Douglas Sr. of Bluefield, VA Two Brothers: James P. Wright and wife Adel of Rock, WV Bobby Junior Wright of Grundy, VA Favorite Nephew: Douglas Mitchem Jr. of Bluefield, VA Favorite Niece: Missy Holleman of Bluefield, VA Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 03, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV where Pastor Craig Hammond will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where Robert Holleman, Douglas Mitchem Jr., Morris Crockett Wright Jr., George Wright Sr., George Wright Jr. and Michael Stevenson will serve as pallbearers. Ray Burguss will serve as horary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 03, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), WV In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Blankenship family to help with expenses.
