Virginia N. Gillenwater, age 96, of Meadow Street, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on February 19, 1918 in Raysal, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Albert Yopp and Ellie Mae Six Yopp. She had lived in Bluefield, VA for the past 5 years with her daughter after moving from Falls Mills. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Erb Gillenwater; a son, Daniel “Toad” Gordon; and a sister Beulah Murphy; and two brothers, James and Buster Yopp.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Brenda Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be; David Martin, Roger Martin, Frank Gordon, Christopher Martin, Eric Poleti, and Ronnie Gills.
