Marvin David Gore

  Marvin David “J.D.” Gore, age 70, of Lorton Lick Road, Montcalm, WV died on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.   Born on August 24, 1943 in Princeton, WV, he was a son of the late Joe David and Quilay Gore. He was a retired plumber and construction worker and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a veteran of the US Army.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Pruett Gore; 2 sons, Lionel and Joey Scammel Gore; and a grandson, Joe Gore.   Survivors include:   Sons: Joe Gore and wife Christal of Montcalm, WV          Jason D. Gore and wife Cynthia of Bluefield, WV   Daughters: Alice Ann Owens of Ohio                      Vickie Moore and husband Eric of South Carolina   Grandchildren: Michael Gore, Josh Gore, Justin Gore, Breana Gore, Tristin Gore, Jason Gore, Lionel Gore, and Josh Gore.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Into the Light Missionary Prayer and Worship Center located behind CVS in Brushfork with Rev. Shaun Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
