Robert Lee Agee, Sr. 83 of Pocahontas, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Agee was born on September 09, 1930 in Maybeury, WV to the late John C. and Nellie Yates Agee. He had been a resident of Pocahontas, VA for the past 17 years and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in the US Air Force retiring after 20 years of service and was in the Korean War. After the service he went to work in the coal mines until his retirement. He was also a former employee at the Dye Plant in Falls Mills, VA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by John C and Nellie C. Agee; one son David Randall Agee; Willard, Wilson and Wilton Agee; Juanita Harmon, Hazel Farley, Helen Lee and Laura Blackwell. Survivors Include: His wife: Shirley Hicks Agee of the home One Son: Robert L. Agee Jr. and wife Debbie of Bluefield, WV One Daughter: Paula Lynn Fink and husband Randy of Bluefield, WV Four Grandchildren and Eight Great Children Graveside rites will be on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell, WV with Rev. James Milam officiating his service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The Mercer County Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites for Mr. Agee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV.
