John Henry Sargent, Jr. 71 of Poetown Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed from this life to be with Jesus on January 16, 2014 with wife Annita, family and friends by his side. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was retired from the building supply business.
He is preceded in death by parents Henry and Edith Sargent and one sister Barbara Parcell.
He has always been active in the church and is best described as a person in Galations 5:22
His life was and will always be cherished by his wife of 50 years, Annita, family and friends.
He is survived by brothers Hershel and wife Shirley Sargent of Columbus, Ohio, Franklin Sargent of Bluefield, WV, Sister Naomi Bowman of Wheeling, WV and Elizabeth Davis of Mebane, NC. 18 nieces and nephews and 37 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Voice of Praise Worship Center on Rt. 20 in Bluefield, WV. Ministers Jason Queen and Frank Watkins officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where family will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV and one hour prior to the service at Voice of Praise on Rt. 20 Bluefield, WV.
