Joyce Jean Shrader

Joyce Jean Shrader, 86, of Henry Hollow Road, Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her home. Born on December 20, 1927 in Midway, she was a daughter of the late John and Letha Russell Gregory. She had been a lifelong resident of the Bluefield area and was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ. She was a former employee of Kresgee and was a receiving manager at K-Mart in Bluefield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Henry” Shrader; and two great grandchildren, Destiny Hylton and Jacob Smith. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Sylvia Hylton and Ricky of Bluefield Bonnie Miles and Sammy of Bluefield 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren 2 sisters: Gloria King of FL Ruth Anne Wright of FL Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home.
