Glenna Kathleen Thompson

Glenna Kathleen Jones Thompson, 37, of Green Valley, went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, December 30, 2013. Born in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of Linda Maxine Finley Jones of the home and the late Carl Edward Jones, Sr. She was a graduate of Mountview High School and was a former resident of McDowell County before moving to Mercer County where she spent her final years. She loved her daughter so very much as well as her family and friends. She loved spending time with them. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed deeply. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include: Mother: Linda Finley Jones of the home Daughter: Angelina Nicole Kathleen Jones of the home Sisters: Tina Jones and boyfriend Bobby Perdue and son Blake of Green Valley Donna Jones and daughters Brittany and Makinzie Stratus of Green Valley Brothers: William David Jones of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV Carl Edward Jones, Jr. of Athens, WV Special Aunts: Shirley Finley and Betty Finley of Glenwood Special Cousin: Wanda Perdue and family of Nemours Special Uncle: Lawrence Finley of Nemours A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Friends may call one hour prior the services.
