William Osborne

William Henry Osborne, 90, of Montcalm, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home. Born on March 3, 1923 on Peelchestnut Mtn., he was a son of the late Charlie and Martha Eliza Smith Osborne. He had been a lifelong resident of Pocahontas, VA. He was a retired coalminer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his special caregivers, Houston and Elizabeth Bell of Montcalm; and special nieces Clara and Josie; and a nephew, Conner. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastors Tommy Byrd, Mike Gibson, and George Scott officiating. Burial will follow at the Scott Family Cemetery on Peelchestnut Mountain. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
