Shirley Carter

Our loving mother, Shirley Carter, 81, of Bluefield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2013 after a long illness. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edith Albert, her late husband, Phillip Richard Honeyak, her youngest daughter, Toni Lynn Bailey and her oldest sister, Wanda Peters. She is survived by her husband, Harry (Pat) Carter and her children, Joe Honeyak, Joani (Glenn) Tabor and Rhoda (Dic) Burbage, six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her sister, Margaret Gills along with many other family members who loved her dearly. Funeral services, arranged by Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, will be held at Memorial Church of Christ in Princeton, WV on Wednesday, December 4th with visitation at 6:00 PM and her Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM with Ministers Frankie Watkins, Dic Burbage and Glenn Tabor, Jr. officiating. Graveside rites will be 11:00 am on Thursday, December 5th at the Poe Family Cemetery, Bluewell, WV. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell at 10:30 AM on Thursday.
