Lillie Eva Fitzko

Lillie Eva Fitzko, of Thomasville, NC and formerly of Walnut Street, Princeton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2:54 pm at her and her daughter’s home in Thomasville NC at the age of 92. She was born on December 27, 1920 in coaldale and was a daughter of the late Rassie and Florence Walker Davidson. Lillie was one of the “Rosie the Riveter’s” in the early 40’s doing what she could while the men went to war. She was born and grew up on Coaldale Mountain in Coaldale, WV, walking those mountains and being a country girl. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Chapel in Princeton, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fitzko. Her children are as follows: Son, Thomas and wife Carol Tabor of Cape Coral, Florida Daughter, Sandy and husband Sammy Vestal of Greensboro, NC Son Terry and wife Ruby Fitzko of Princeton, WV Daughter, Kay and husband Leroy Lilly of Chester VA Daughter, Linda and husband Billy Douglas of Hilton Head, SC Daughter, Tina and husband Randy Meadows of Thomasville, NC She has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind a lot of family and friends, esp. Ted Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Princeton. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
