Betty Lou Wright

YORK (formerly of Bluefield, WV) – Mrs. Betty Lou Saddler Wright, 79, went to be with the Lord very suddenly on Friday, November 1, 2013 at her home. Born August 20, 1934 in McComas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Robert Saddler, Sr. and Maggie Lunsford Saddler. For over 19 years, she was a very active member of the Eastview Baptist Church of Rock Hill. She served on many church committees and loved spending her time and talents in the service of others. She also loved traveling with her family and her many friends. She never met a stranger and was a generous and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wright and her sister Thelma (Sissy). She is survived by her sister, Dolly Fagg and husband, Jim of Montcalm, WV; her brothers, Robert Saddler, Jr. and wife, Marcia of Lakeland, FL and Ted Saddler of Princeton, WV. Survivors also include her daughter, Jennifer Marquis and husband, Richard of York, SC; sons, Jeffrey L. Wright and wife, Melinda of Sefner, FL, Timothy M. Wright of Bluefield, WV and Thomas D. Wright and wife, Mary of Rock Hill, SC; her stepchildren, Theresa Oakley of Lakeland, FL and Lee Wright of Mansfield, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 07, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in Mrs. Wright’s name to Eastview Baptist Church, 1430 Gordon Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
