Margaret Cecil Conlee

Margaret Cecil Conlee 96 of Lorton Lick Road Bluefield, WV passed away peacefully on Monday morning November 04, 2013. She was born on April 06, 1917 in Duhring, West Virginia to the late Kenton Robert Whittaker and Ora Frances Arrington. She was raised in Duhring, West Virginia and was a lifelong resident of Mercer County, West Virginia. Margaret was a member of the Voice of Praise Worship Center for 40 years. Margaret was a homemaker and she loved to cook and host dinners in her home. She loved family friends dearly. She was loved by all. She was everyone’s Granny. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank “Buddy” Conlee, one son Roger Lee Conlee, seven brothers William Rubert Whittaker, Calvin Lee Whittaker, Charlie Addair Whittaker, Ralph E. Whittaker, John Hampton Whittaker, Walter Crockett Whittaker and Clarence Earl Whittaker. Two sisters Mamie Ora Davidson and Nellie Virginia Jessup. Those left to cherish her memory are: Her daughter Dorothy V. Hall of Bluefield, West Virginia Grandchildren: Vickie Morris and husband Nathan of Bluewell, WV Pam Browning and husband Scott of Brushfork, WV Mike Conlee of Murrells Inlet, SC Deidra Conlee of Harrisonburg, VA Seven Great Grandchildren and Three great great grandchildren Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 07, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Jason Queen officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
