Howard Douglas Rose

Howard Douglas Rose, age 67, of Pinnacle View Road, Bluefield, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on January 29, 1946 in Gary, he was a son of the late Drewery and Carrie Hart Rose. He was retired from McDowell County Schools where he worked as a custodian at the Welch Vocational-Technical Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the light of his life, his wife, Ginger Kay (Finley) Rose; 2 brothers, Jimmy and Clayton Rose; and a sister, Mary Jane Lyall. Survivors include: 2 brothers: Eugene (Thelma) Rose of Taylor, MI Edward Rose of Bluefield, WV 5 sisters: Betty Glass of Donalsonville, GA Carol Brown of Anniston, AL Frances (Danny) Sadler of Bluefield Ruby Rose of Bluefield Linda (Tom) Sadler of Bluefield Several nieces, nephews and brother and sister’s in law Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Tony Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
