Margaret Katie Sorah

Margaret Katie Sorah, age 90, of Rt. 1 Box 149, Bluefield, WV, and formerly of Superior, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on October 4, 1923 in Carswell, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Marcella Jose Berta. She had been a resident of Bluefield since 2010 and was a member of the Welch Nazarene Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Sorah; 5 sons, Joseph, Elmer, II, James, Donald, and Nelson Sorah; a daughter, Marcella Blankenship; and a grandson, Raymond Blankenship. Survivors include: Daughter: Shelia Belcher of Bluefield Special daughter in law whom she loved as a daughter: Connie Sorah Williams of Bluefield, VA 12 grandchildren Several great grandchildren 2 sisters: Annie Cregger of Bealeton, VA Stella Miller of Sebring, FL Special Friend: Jesse Arredondo Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
