Kelly Lucinda Byrd

Kelly Lucinda Byrd, age 51, of Pocahontas Avenue, Bramwell, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at her home. Born on April 5, 1962 in Galax, VA, she was a daughter of the late Gene and Mary Ann Jones Austin. She was raised by her grandmother, Hettie Austin. She had been a resident of Bramwell since 1986 and was a member of the Bramwell Church of Christ. She was a graduate of the Carroll County High School and the Wytheville Community College. She had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Charles Mann in Princeton for 20 years. Survivors include her husband, Larry Byrd of the home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Paul Delida officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:30-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
