Anne Jeanne Kincaid

Anne Jeanne Sutherland Bliss Kincaid, 80, of School Street, Bramwell Rd., Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Cowen, WV, on January 1, 1933 and was a daughter of the late “Shay” and Blanche Gross Sutherland. She had lived in Cleveland for 19 years where she worked for F.W. Woolworth and Toylars in downtown Cleveland. She also worked for GE where she retired. She grew up in Richwood where she graduated in 1952. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richwood where she and her sister Gail were baptized. She was about 11 and her sister was 10. Rev. L.E. Powers was the minister. She married her husband David in 1972 and the bought a house on Old Bramwell Road where she lived til she passed away. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Maxine Reese and Gail Smith; 6 brothers, Blaine, Jr., Leonard, Claude, Kermit, and Virgil “Buck” Sutherland; a son, Mike Bliss; and a daughter, Donna Bliss, who died 3 days after she was born. She was the last child of 9 children in her family. Survivors include: Husband: Dave Kincaid of the home 2 daughters: Julia Grimes and husband Emery of Marlinton, WV Jenny Adkins of and husband Dane of South Amherst, OH 3 sons: Jim Bliss and wife Emily of Lawrenceville, GA Larry Kincaid and wife Phyllis of Valley Head, WV Tom Bliss and wife Selena of Snellville, GA Special niece: Lori Anne Rice and husband Adrien of Charleston Special friend whom Ann has known since 4th or 5th grade: Lorene Cloniger of Richwood Several nieces and nephews 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Butt Hollow, Bluefield, with Rev. Dewayne Belcher and Rev. Ann Nash officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the church. A second service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Butt Hollow, Bluefield, with Rev. Dewayne Belcher and Rev. Ann Nash officiating. Burial will follow at the Frost Cemetery at the Mt. Zion Church in the hill country outside of Marlinton. There she will lay to rest beside her son til the Lord calls them home.
