Reverend J. David Gibson, 64, of Woodbridge, VA passed away at Sibley Memorial Hospital on September 30, 2013 after a brief illness. He spent his life serving God, first as an Evangelist, then as a Pastor, ministering to thousands of people over the years. He pastored seven churches in his 45 year ministry, serving in the states of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Virginia. He had pastored his current church in Woodbridge since 1992. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Gibson. Survivors include his beloved wife, Debbie Gibson, two daughters Summer Taylor and Aimee Barton, one son-in-law William Barton, and two precious granddaughters, Scarlett and Isabella, all of Northern Virginia. He also leaves behind three sisters, Naomi Ausburn of Tampa, FL, Parthena Cook and Flora Lafferty of Mallory, WV, two brothers, Danny and Jimmy Gibson of Mallory WV, and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Princeton Church of God with Rev. Larry Lykens officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00-12:00 at the church.
