Leon David Crockett

Leon David Crockett, 70, of 1947 Virginia Avenue, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on May 11, 1943 in Freeman, he was a son of the late James and Mary L. Honaker Crockett. He was a member of the Harman Masonic Lodge #222 and was a member of the Bluefield Church of Christ. He was a retired electrician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Crockett. Survivors include: Wife of 50 years: Shirley Mitchem Crockett of the home Sons: David Crockett and Margie of Raleigh, NC Ronald Crockett and Becky of Princeton, NC 3 granddaughters: Denise Crockett of Raleigh, NC Karen Crockett of Raleigh, NC Lindsey Kanode of Bluefield, VA 1 great grandchild: Braylon Doss of Bristol, VA 2 brothers: James Wesley Crockett and Shirley of Winter Garden, FL Donald Crockett and Juanita of Dunkirk, NY 2 sisters: Violet Baldwin and Carl of Nemours, WV Joyce Fuller and Bob of Canandaigua, NY Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Mike Bales officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where the Harman Masonic Lodge #222 will conduct graveside rites and serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
