Martha Jane Kinder

Martha Jane Kinder 85 of Jewell Ridge, Virginia passed away on Monday, September 02, 2013 at Westwood Health Care in Bluefield, Virginia. Martha was born on Sunday, February 12, 1928 in Pickshin, West Virginia to the late Lee Bascom and Dillie F. Cressell Lyons. Martha had been a lifelong resident of Jewell Ridge, Virginia and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. She was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Roby Kinder. Survivors Include: Two Daughters: Dolores Kendrick and husband Doug of Raysal, West Virginia Barbara Brown and husband Harold of Bandy, Virginia Five Grandchildren: Jonathan Brown and wife Crystal of Richlands, Virginia Shannon Joyce and wife Faye of Falls Mills, Virginia Charlene Underwood and husband Frankie of Raysal, West Virginia Steven Kendrick and wife Brandi (Pruitt) of Statesville, North Carolina Melanie Kendrick of Statesville, North Carolina Ten Great Grandchildren: Justin Underwood and wife Latasha (Deel) of Big Rock, West Virginia Brittany Poore and husband Brian Jolo, West Virginia Stephanie Kendrick of Yukon, West Virginia Katie Alley, Ryan Kendrick, Hailey and Payton Kendrick of Statesville, North Carolina Jermiah Brown of Richlands, Virginia Lucas Brown of Richlands, Virginia Alex Kelly and companion Miriam Chambers of Falls Mills, Virginia Two Great Great Grandchildren: Kailey Underwood and Colton Poore Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 07, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Rev. James Bassett officiating the service. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Where Frankie Underwood, Steven Kendrick, Justin Underwood, Brian Poore, Shannon Joyce and Jonathan Brown will serve as pallbearers.
