James Edward Woods

James Edward Woods 73 of Brushfork Road Bluefield, WV passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. James was born on November 12, 1939 in Kyle, WV to the late Henry Stewart and Leona Mutter Woods. He was retired having worked at R&T Electric, Smith Services and National Coil. James had been a resident of Bluefield for the past 32 years and was a veteran serving his country in the US Army from 1958-1961. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors Include: His wife of 50 years Barbara Ann Johnson Woods of the home Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews Two Sisters: Gloria Choate and husband Bobby of Princeton, WV Shelby Adams of Boone Mills, VA Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV where Rev. Larry Dyer will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV where The Mercer County Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites.
