Leonard Reed

Leonard Shirty Reed, age 76, of Montcalm, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on January 11, 1937 in WV, he was a son of the late Kertis and Mary Shrewsberry Reed. He had been a resident of Montcalm for most of his life and worked in the concrete industry for United Trans-Mix in Bluefield, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Delma Jennings, Curtis Reed, Donald Reed, Randall Reed, Harold Reed. Survivors include: Wife: Naomi Reed of the home Children: Benny and Cindy Reed of Montcalm Tammy and Danny Cook of Brushfork Michael Reed of the home 3 grandchildren Sisters: Dama Bailey of Brushfork Dorothy Harrison of Opp, AL Ethel Asbury of Martinsville, VA Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Elder Lonnie Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
