Carrie Mary Beggs

Carrie Mary Beggs 86 of Prosperity School Road (Windmill Gap) Rock, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 03, 2013 at her residence. Carrie was born on Friday, November 25, 1926 in Caretta, West Virginia to the late Dixie and Rachel Bolen Barie. She was a graduate of McComas High School in 1945 and was a Member of Prosperity United Methodist Church. She has resided in Windmill Gap since 1952. Carrie worked as Lead teacher for head start for 27 years. She was the last member of her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vernie G. Beggs, one grandson Christopher Hubbard and eight brothers and two sisters. Survivors Include: Two sons: Randy Beggs and wife Debbie of Bluewell, West Virginia Mark Beggs and wife Lisa of Windmill Gap, West Virginia Two Daughters: Cecielia Hubbard and husband John on Bluewell, West Virginia Melissa Baker and husband Eric of Princeton, West Virginia Nine Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren, four Step Grandchildren and three Step Great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield (Bluewell), West Virginia with the Rev. Shawn Braggs. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, West Virginia. Where grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
