Joseph Warren Willien

Joseph Warren Willien, of Bluefield, WV, formerly of McLeansville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 while at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Following a service in Greensboro, NC, funeral will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Cavens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Joseph was born in Northfork, WV to the late Raymond and Hazel Moore Willien. He retired from Environmental Air Systems, Inc. in Greensboro after more than forty years of service. More recently, he worked as a “Greeter” at Wal-Mart in Bluefield. Joseph lived to work. He will be missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly. Along with his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Willien, Jr., Billy Willien, Clarence Willien, Anthony Willien, and Jimmy Green. Mr. Willien is survived by his daughters, Vonda Moorefield of McLeansville, NC and Sarah Fulcher of Evans, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Brian Keith and Jennifer Willien of McLeansville; sisters, Barbara Sizemore (husband, Edward Sizemore) of Bluefield with whom Joseph lived and Ruth Ann Hawkins also of Bluefield; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; and his former wife of 50 years, Della Irene Willien. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Dewayne French of Augusta, GA officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
