Flossie Marie Jennings “Nanny” Watkins On July 20, 2013, the Lord Jesus Christ called Flossie Marie Jennings Watkins home to her heavenly reward. She had served the Lord since 1966, faithfully working in a variety of ministries including; teaching Sunday school, nursing home ministries, singing, caring for anyone in need of care. Mrs. Watkins was a dedicated member of The Montcalm Church of God. Flossie had lived at Rt. 2 Box 89, Rock, WV (Montcalm) for over 50 years where she raised six children and had currently resided in loving care with her granddaughter Wendy and Ryan Meadows for the past four years. Flossie was a devoted wife of 57 years and a loving; mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born November 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Hobart and Bell Gross Jennings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Bobby Watkins in April of 2009, three sons; Ronnie Watkins, Johnny Watkins, Darrel Watkins, nine brothers ; Woodrow , Ottis , Clifford , Albert , Frankie , Harley , Kyle , Roland , and Bobby Jennings, two sisters; Janice Jennings, Joyce Dickerson, and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watkins leaves behind to love and cherish her memory are; three daughters; Connie Hubbard of Glenwood, WV, Shelia Myers and husband Glenn of Princeton, WV, JoAnn Watkins of Montcalm, WV, four brothers; Ray Jennings, Junior Jennings, Gerald Jennings, Billy Jennings, a sister; Louise Hodge, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; and many other family, friends, neighbors, and church people too numerous to mention. Everyone who met her loved her and was loved by her. Funeral services for Mrs. Watkins will be conducted Tuesday July 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darryl Christian officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Bluewell. Serving as pallbearers will be; Michael Taylor, Jr., Keith Hubbard, Chris Taylor, Pete Dempsey, Johnny Watkins, Ryan Meadows, and Glen Myers will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the Cravens-Shires funeral Home Tuesday July 23, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
