Michael Wayne Jennings

Michael Wayne Jennings, 54, of Fredericksburg, Virginia formerly of Montcalm, West Virginia passed away the morning of July 10, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 26 1958. Preceded in death by his father, the late Albert C. Jennings and his sister Connie Sue Haynes. Michael was known for his generosity, loyalty and positive attitude to all who knew him. He was tough, firm, compassionate, and most of all an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife, Kathy Jennings of 35 years, his 2 sons Philip Jennings and wife Maria Jennings from Fredericksburg, Va and Derick Jennings and wife Crystal Jennings from Easton, Pa. Survivors also include his mother Florabelle Pennington Jennings of Montcalm, WV and three brothers: Bobby Jennings of Montcalm WV, Donnie Jennings and wife Donna of Waldorf, MD, Randy Jennings and wife Susan of Athens, WV. As well as his brother-in-law Maynard Haynes of Ferrum, Va and the pride of his life, his 5 Grandchildren, Austin, Kailyn, Breydon, Nathaniel and Sofia. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Kevin Haynes, Shannon Jennings, Joey Jennings, Chris Waller, Austin Jennings, Kenny Branholm, Josh Wyatt and Carolos Guido serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelvin Sampson, Jim Marquardt, Larry Weslowski and Maynard Haynes. Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
