Mary Mullins

Mary Ann “Mitzie” Mullins, 72, of Oakhurst Drive in Welch, bid farewell to this life, Sunday, July 7, 2013 after a long fight. She was born Mary Ann Zella to Mr. and Mrs. John D. Zella on February 20, 1941. She graduated from Gary High School and was married to Cody Herman Mullins on August 20, 1962. She raised four children and enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and talking with her close friends. She was survived by her children: Anthony Mullins of Coalwood, WV; Teresa Mullins Lambert of Thomasville, NC; Charles Mullins of Lexington, NC; and Derrick Mullins of Gladwin, MI, her grandchildren: Christopher Adkins of Thomasville, NC; Shawn Mullins and Wesley Mullins of Lexington, NC; and Derrick W. Mullins, Holly Mullins, and Cody Mullins of Gladwin, MI and her long time companion, Lyle Woodruff. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Friends may call from 12:1:00 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
